Attributions

The position of the Permanent Secretary parallels the rank of a director-general. He is responsible for:

-  Coordinating all activities of the Permanent Secreteriat ;

-  Assuring that decisions of the General Assembly of the UNESCO are being executed and followed on a national level ;

-  Reporting the results of reunions of the General Assembly of the R.N.C.U and assuring the implementation of its decisions ;

-  Assuring the technical preparation of reunions of Commissions and Sub-Commissions ;

-  Assuring the technical preparation of international reunions of the UNESCO ;

-  Coordinating the elaboration of national projects and programs under the auspices of the UNESCO and assuring their execution ;

-  Establishing the relations to the UNESCO and to the National Commissions for UNESCO of other member states and promoting the cooperation in all domains that lie within the UNESCOs competence ;

-  Distributing and promoting the ideas and programs of the UNESCO as well as involving the institutions of the state, associations, and establishments of Rwanda in general ;

-  Supervising the management of the R.N.C.U.s heritages ;

-  Coordinating the compilation, the edition and the distribution of the C.N.R.U.s revue of information ;

-  Preparing the budget of the R.N.C.U. ;
