UNESCO/KOICA Joint Fellowship Programme - 2019

UNESCO/KOICA Joint Fellowship Programme - 2019
Sir, Madam,
On behalf of the Director-General, I am pleased to inform you that the Government of the Republic of Korea, represented by the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), is offering twenty-five (25) fellowships of two months’ duration for the benefit of least developed countries (LDCs) in Africa and Asia and the Pacific, within the framework of the UNESCO/KOICA Joint Fellowship Programme – 2019.
Aimed at enhancing national capacity building, these fellowships will enable candidates to participate in a training course in the field of education. The training will be held from 3 June to 29 July 2019 at the Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding (APCEIU) in Seoul, Republic of Korea. The medium of instruction being English, only candidates proficient in this language are eligible to apply.
The annexes to this letter provide detailed information concerning the qualifications required, the facilities offered, the general conditions governing the award of fellowships and the procedures for the submission of applications.
The final selection lies with KOICA, APCEIU and the Permanent Delegation of the Republic of Korea to UNESCO.
Special attention should be given to female candidatures for an equal representation, given the high priority that UNESCO places on gender equality.

A maximum of two (2) candidatures (one of which should be female) may be submitted by each invited Member State for this Programme. We would be most grateful if you could address the submission of candidatures to the attention of Mr Stoyan Bantchev, Chief of the Participation Programme and Fellowships Section, by email (s.bantchev@unesco.org), with a copy to Ms B. Guibert (b.guibert@unesco.org) and Ms V. Lopy (v.lopy@unesco.org), by 10 April 2019 at the latest.
Yours sincerely,

Firmin Edouard Matoko
